Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Cullo Android app handles data, based on the app’s real behavior.

Media on your device

Cullo requests access to photos and videos on your device (Android MediaStore / media permissions). Scanning, analysis, compression, and cleanup run locally on the device. Cullo does not upload your photo or video files, thumbnails, or media contents to Cullo servers.

Local storage

Preferences and app databases (for example SharedPreferences and SQLite) stay on your device to remember settings, onboarding, Guard targets, trash/undo state, and similar product state.

Installation and locale metadata

When the app can reach the API, it may register an anonymous installation id with app version, Android version, locale / app language, language source, and country code. This is not a name, email, phone number, or precise location.

Cullo Pulse analytics

Product analytics events (for example app open, onboarding, scans, Guard, paywall, and purchase funnel steps) may be queued on device and sent in batches to api.cullo.app. Events are for product improvement and operations — not for uploading your media library.

Purchases and Google Play Billing

Subscriptions and purchases use Google Play Billing. Purchase tokens and related verification fields may be sent to Cullo servers so entitlements can be verified and reconciled. Prices and payment details are handled by Google Play.

Notifications

With your permission (including Android notification permission where required), Cullo may show local notifications such as Guard free-space alerts. Notification preference remains under your control in the app and system settings.

What we do not collect this way

Cullo does not send your media files to the server for cleaning. The app does not use Firebase Analytics or other Firebase SDKs for data collection in the current product build (a google-services.json may exist for future use; Firebase is not wired as an analytics pipeline today).
